Very funny stories - except for Nef´s doctors story! I think we all have had our fair share of "funny" episodes at doctors and hospitals...

We just had to come up with new things to bring people in. I started the "Unexplained and Paranormal" board to bring people in to talk off-topic stuff. Once there in, then the Alamo talk comes with it. Right! I think off-topic stuff is important to keep a site alive. I´ve suggested to Wade that he should have some off-topic stuff. Serious threads, entertaining threads and plain fun threads. A little bit of everything, so to speak. To keep people interested in the site. Of course, the Christmas holydays are always a time with low traffic...

Beautiful poem, Mike! One of the worst things in life is when love´s no longer mutual. I feel your pain. We´ve all been there at one time or another in our lives. Hang on, Mike! In time you´ll feel better about it although the pain will never cease completely, but it will be bearable. After all, life goes on and we never know what good things the future holds for us. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a much happier New Year!

On the other hand, conspiracies do exist. Sometimes they are exposed. We all remember Watergate and Iran-Contra Gate, just to mention a few. But to see conspiracies every time something happens - like 9/11 - seems a bit paranoid to me. But it sells books and where there´s money to be made...

Yes, interesting, but not plausible! I´ve seen (and taped) tv programs about this" conspiracy". Many of the questions you raise was answered, such as the questions about the flag and about the various shadows. Unfortunately I would have to watch the program again in order to give you precise answers. I do remember it was said that it would have been impossible to fabricate the moon landing because of the thousands of people involved in the project. Even if they all were sworn to secrecy (spell?), it would be hard to imagine that nothing would leak out over the decades. It´s easy to see why some people think it was a conspiracy. The whole idea of men walking on the moon is hard to fathom. Therefore it must be a conspiracy, right? Don´t forget that we live in an age of conspiracy theories. There are people out there who makes a living writing books on various conspiracies. It´s almost an industry. I think it´s much more gullible to believe the moon landing was a hoax, than to believe it took place...

Alot of people say that after viewing the PBS special about Oswald, that it totally changed their mind and that they no longer believe in a conspiracy. I will continue believing until I see this doc... I would like to see that PBS documentary! I hope it will pop up on the TV screen over here at some point.

Whether Oswald was the only shooter or not, I still think the mob was involved at some level. I think Ruby was sent by the mob to kill Oswald before he could talk. Ruby was known to have mob ties and it´s too perculiar that he just happend to come by the police station that day, and just happend to have a gun on him. The assasination is also a topic on the alamofilm site. I´ve written some comments about mob involvement there, if anybody is interested...

Did you also see the History Channel Documentary "Kennedy's: The Curse of Power" and others that they made? I´ve seen many doc´s on Kennedy (inc. one about his sexual infedelities, wittnessed by his own secret service men and another one about Kennedy and the mafia) but alas I don´t recall the titles anymore...

I don´t know...I have my doubts that LBJ wanted to kill Kennedy, so he instead could become president. Was LBJ really that crazy?...hmm...

You´re right, Davy, it never ends. My favourite theories are the mafia theory and the theory about US based cuban exiles who were dissatisfied with Kennedy´s Cuba politics. That Kennedy betrayed their support and trust, not doing enough to rid Cuba of Castro. Could be fun if it turned out that Oswald was acted completely alone... I would be taken completely by surprise if he did act alone. Seguin, did you ever see the movie JFK with Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, and Gary Oldman? If not, it's a must see and one of my favorites. I too would be surprised if Oswald acted alone without anybody else involved in any shape or form whatsoever. Yes, I´ve seen the JFK movie a couple of times. Great movieand very thrilling! It raises some interesting questions.

What about the mafia involvement theory? That Kennedy was elected with the help of mafia controlled votes (one place mentioned is Chicago where chief mobster Sam Giancana is said to have "organixed" votes for Kennedy). The deal was that Kennedy should leave the mafia alone but instead he made his brother attorney general and in that capacity he had grand juries look into mafia influence in the teamsters (Jimmy Hoffa) etc. So the killing of Kennedy was revenge for betraying the mob. I´ve seen tv programs about it and read a book by ex-mobster Bill Bonanno ("Bound by Honor") who also says the same. It´s a plausible theory I think. At least if the "magic" bullet theori is true, then there were more than one shooter. Personally I wonder if it´s possible for a lone shooter to re-load, take aim and shoot three times that fast (was it three shots?). The Castro theory is also a good one...

Yes, please do! We could all do with a good laugh... ;D I don't find them funny! I wanted them after all. They come down a little past my ears. I've had the same hair syle for years and wanted to change things. After all, Crockett had long sideburns... Yes, and so did Bowie and Elvis. There´s nothing wrong with sideburns. I was just kidding...
