Well great images Greg! I hope you had a good time there ... it is always a pleasant time for me there ... what could be better? Good friends, good food, and the Alamo!

My nephew was over there in 2004 in the 4th Infantry .. he was really glad to get back in one piece! he did not care for being over there at all! Very hot at the very least! Davy

If you have never been to Goliad .. you should go see it .. it is much more complete than the Alamo! ;D Davy

Well certainly it would have beena different command structure .. lets not forget that there ws bad blood initially betwen these two.. what would this have been like then? All I am saying is that there are a number of elements at play here ... that could have impacted such a situation. Had SA attacked anyway (and I am sure he would have ) I think the outcome would probably been the same either way with some new twists! Davy

I am sure there were a very few present in the Alamao .. but I remeber on anothe rboard us discussing the idea of a remuda a few miles east that the Alamo defenders may have kept out of range of the Mex Army. Either way .. few were actually at the Alamo proper. Certainly not enuff for the major force to leave on! Davy
