When I was a kid, I enjoyed certain reruns such as "Science Fiction Theatre," "The Outer Limits," and Walter Cronkite's "The 21st Century." I have to be one of the few that watched "Star Trek" the first go 'round on TV for all three seasons. In our high school year book (1976) I have Katherrine Stock writing that she was dying to know when the rumor of a Star Trek movie was going to come true. "Leave It To Beaver" was hilarious and didn't play down to kids like "The Brady Bunch", which I never liked.
I didn't like "Bonanza" much because it appeared on a school night and when the theme song came on at the end, I had to go to bed.

No, but the previews look good. It sounds very much like the 1950's movie (starring Tony Curtis) that was made about the Native American soldier, who helped plant the flag on Mount S.

I hate to admit this, but I very much enjoyed, "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle." I like road trip pictures, with a quest. True escapism. I've only watched this on TV. I wouldn't be bothered with this when it was in the theatres.

I want to know your favorite cult classic movie. I'm talking about a film that did not exactly fair so well at the box office, but you love to watch it over and over again for whatever reason. As examples: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Wicker Man, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Plan 9 from Outer Space, etc...
My personal favorite is The Wicker Man. The cast included Christopher Lee, who said "Lord Summerisle" was his favorite role because it had the best lines that he ever spoke in a film.
C'mon! Confess!

How eeriely familiar this post is. As if an identical post exists elsewhere in the vast Universe...Only "Neferetus" had a slightly different name and I had the same avatar, but with a different hue. Sorta like the alternate Universe on Star Trek, except Spoch's alter ego had a goatee. Or, am I dreaming it all....? Sorta like being in the "TWILO ZONE", where everyone looks like Danny Thomas and eats Walnuts! Hey, I was watching another episode of Paladin last night and finally noticed that, inside each DVD case, there's an actual 'Wire Paladin' calling card. Wild! Well, I don't need the play moustache that I got with my Paladin Western kit as a kid at Xmas. I'm growing mine back.

I was watching a John Wayne movie this morning on TCM. I can't remember the title but it was made in 1932 Did his 'character' sing (dubbed)? Then he coulda been Singin' Sandy.

My recollection of Linda Cristal started when she was on High Chaperal. When I was old enough to appreciate Waynomo, I recognized her. Although I was a small boy, I recognized her as a beautiful woman!
I know she's quite a bit older now, but does she still make personal appearances?

Here's yet another image of one of Craig Covner's wonderful Waynamo paintings. (I'd posted a poor Xerox copy of it a while back.) I agree with you both - it looks like a photo.

Yeah, Bromhead, a lot of scenes appear to have been filmed out of sequence. In Crockett's death scene, for instance, there are soldados already in the chapel when he arrives at the door! What are they doing there? Takin' pichurs.

I don't really have an Alamo collection except for some clandestine purloining of an alamo stone here and there over the years. At this rate, by the year 2314, I should have the entire Alamo in my backyard.
( I really haven't been stealing stones)

For those of you who are interested, this link connects you to the full movie script for"Zulu Dawn" I find it very interesting, there are alot of changes from this version to what is actually said in the film.. www.awesomefilm.com/script/zuludawn.txtGOOD! This makes it easy for me to find the one line in the movie that was not easy for me to forget. BARTLE FRERE: "Let us hope then, that this will be the final solution to the Zulu problem." This made me think the writer was trying to draw a parallel between Frere and Hitler. BTW, that's don our tea-stained service helmuts to John Mills (he played Frere) who passed away a few days ago.

The movie was called "Untamed" 1955. It was on TCM a few months ago but i didn't get a chance to see it. Here is the bio of the film www.imdb.com/title/tt0048767/Hmm...I'm still drawing a blank on the story line. Perhaps, I hadn't seen it before afterall. I'll keep my eyes pealed for the next showing.

Actually, there was another (kind of) Zulu movie, the title eludes me at the moment but it starred Susan Hayward as a Boer woman in the 1840's There was a good battle scene where the Boers were in a wagon laggar and several thousend zulus attacked it for hours. I'll try to remember the title. Yeah, this sounds familiar, too, and the name escapes me.
