'Have Gun, Will Travel', Reads the card of a man. A knight without armour In a savage land. A fast gun for hire Meets the calling wind. A soldier of fortune Is the man called Palladin. Palladin, Palladin, Where do you roam? Palladin, Palladin, Far, far from home. I recently got a three DVD set of this old, late 1950's series starring Richard Boone for my birthday and it's a good one. As Palladin, the classy, San Francisco based hired gun, Boone was at his best, while the guest star list was nothing less than sterling. Names like Charles Bronson, Angie Dickinson, Strother Martin, to name but a few, showed up on a weekly basis. Each disc contains a generous 8 half-hour episodes and I certainly recommend it to any lover of the genre. Gosh. I miss Westerns.

Certainly well worth looking into! Many of those old Westerns sure beat the pants off of what's on TV these days. I reckon you were just born in the wrong era, Greg.

How eeriely familiar this post is. As if an identical post exists elsewhere in the vast Universe...Only "Neferetus" had a slightly different name and I had the same avatar, but with a different hue. Sorta like the alternate Universe on Star Trek, except Spoch's alter ego had a goatee. Or, am I dreaming it all....?

Sorta like being in the "TWILO ZONE", where everyone looks like Danny Thomas and eats Walnuts! Hey, I was watching another episode of Paladin last night and finally noticed that, inside each DVD case, there's an actual 'Wire Paladin' calling card. Wild!

Well, I don't need the play moustache that I got with my Paladin Western kit as a kid at Xmas. I'm growing mine back.
