The Naeglin Bakery, near Main Plaza, oldest bakery in Texas. (Can you say "struedel"?) looks like an old photograph too ned.

Some great photos, Ned. Have you switched to digital or are you still shooting film, like me?

Gotta go with digital rick! I'm in no hurry, particularly with a dozen or so rolls of film still in the fridge. A professional photographer friend of mine who switched to digital two years ago is currently on his third digital SLR Nikon body. Granted, it gets heavy use but he also says the top-of-the-line digital Nikon and Canon bodies aren't as strongly built as the old 35 mm film camera bodies he once used. I've noticed the same thing when I've taken my Canon film-camera lenses into stores and fitted them to the new Canon digital SLR camera bodies for testing. The cameras are much flimsier than my lenses. But I'm making inroads into digital, learning the terminology and such. Any digital camera I get likely will be a pea shooter.

They're very easy and come with a card that goes right into your computer where you can view the photos and even edit them if you wish.

[ ("Schlitterbahn" means "slippery road".) Hey Nef ! With pics like this maybe you should rename this thread "Nefs New Braunfels memories" and give ol' Davy a run for his money ?? ;D ;D Naw! Davy corners the market on such. He may well have been to the Schlitterbahn, but I have not been yet. (Though I do have to pass by it on the way to the library.) In the future, I will clarify the origin of the photos. For instance, here's some more shots I took, while at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Park.

Great pics, Nef! I like the pic of the ostrich with it´s wings hanging down. The pic of the Llama´s (?) crossing the river is great. And it´s a very photogenic ram. I´ll bet he´s used to get his pic taken The last pic has a nice contrast between nature and the cars...

I don't like Rams, at all. But nice pics... I see! A kind of goats maybe? I don't like anything with horns. Being the type of person I am, they are a demonic creature if you study symbology.

Right next door to the wildlife park is the Natural Bridge Caverns. as these tourist photos attest, it is very similar to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Since we'd exited the wildlife park at around 4:00 PM, there was not enough time to do the caverns. I will just have to save the experience for a future excursion.

Wow, what a big cave! As a teenager I visited a similar cave, the Iberger cave, in Bad Grund in the Harzen area of Germany. I remember a place in the cave called The Waterfall. It actually looked like a petrified waterfall! It´s fantastic what those dripping stones has created through the times...
