I thought I would start posting some pictures of the area where I live up in the Northern part of England. The Old Town hall and market square in South Shields. Some of the old buildings at Mill Dam at South Shields Whitburn village where Lewis Carroll wrote "Alice in Wonderland" Souter Lighthouse the first in the World to be lit by electricity Marsden Grotto famous in the olden days for smugglers.

Nef If you look at the last two photos of the arch on the one second from the bottom you can see the walkway/cycleway on the level the lit part is the arch when the bridge opens the lit part moves downward and the walkway upwards. Thanks, Alex. I guess my joke kind of fell flat. I guess the English are quite a serious lot! ;D

It would be hard to walk up that arch and even harder on a bicycle! Nef If you look at the last two photos of the arch on the one second from the bottom you can see the walkway/cycleway on the level the lit part is the arch when the bridge opens the lit part moves downward and the walkway upwards. Poor little critters. You want to save the reds, but at such a cost to the greys. Why not 'export' some of the greys to Ireland? They probably don't want them over there either!
