Well, Labor Day Weekend is upon us, to many, the last unofficial days of Summer. I'm glad that my 1975 visit to Alamo Village just happened to fall on that very weekend. My brother Brian and I got to see live music acts, a horse race, and gunfights in the streets, as well as sample some mighty tasty Alamo Village BBQ. I miss that. Another thing I miss is the people. The place was packed and vibrant and alive. Most kids now-a-days do not know what they are missing and I feel sorry for them. So here's all the best wishes for Alamo Village II: The Sequel. May it survive and continue to inspire people for at least another 50 years.
