I don't smoke...in an English accent. I've heard tell of such. (In a Duke Waynian accent.)

It's strange that nobody has cried foul at Lawrence Harvy's english accent. Travis was born and raised in i forget north or south carolina and live there most of his life.

I think the main thing is, that his arrogance shone through. And who could better depict an arrogant, South Carolinian aristocrat than a Lithuanian-Jew South African born Englishman, anyhow?

Neff how about an Alamo movie era photo of her beside a recent one! TED COLE....aka....Cole_blooded ;D I would like to oblige, Ted, but, as Linda went into retirement in 1985, it will be difficult to find a recent photo of her. The last time she appeared anywhere was on the 1989 Brian Huberman documentary that was included on the laser disc of THE ALAMO. (And then later on the VHS and DVD versions.)

For Sam Houston, he has a pretty crummy hat.

I was just looking at the pictures of "Flaca" along the river and thought I had a picture taken last year of where Houston's camp was in the movie. I found this picture of a partial wall that was shot for the movie, but I don't think it was used. But the river is to the right of the picture and is where Houston's camp was. I think the river shot in the movie was a few miles away:

Thanks for the cool shot, bubbabob! Note: When posting a photo, first click on the picture frame icon, which will bring up the [/IMG]. Then, just post your URL inbetween the brackets.

Craig Covner sent me this wide screen frame from the 6 hour version of the Alamo. (Actually, it's one of Craig's clever super-imposition jobs. Thank's for the clarification, Craig. )

Craig Covner color corrected this old, red-tinted still I had. Thanks, Craig.
