It's County Fair opening day today! I'll be heading there, just as soon as I leave this computer at the library.
As tomorrow is Fair Day for all library employees (they will be having a booth at the fair) the library will be closed and I will not have any computer access until Saturday.

Sorry. There was this Greek stand near the fair entrance, so I ended up getting a lamb gyro sandwich and was it good. Anybody else out like Greek food?

On Friday, September 5th, Steve "TexasMac" Mac Intyre was in New Braunfels for his monthly bagpipe lesson. John "Mustang" Farkis was in San Antonio for the Alamo Gala and came to New Braunfels. Me, I live here. Anyhow, we all convened for lunch at Oma's Haus, a local German restaurant and Steve brought along a couple of his 'toys'. Steve "TexasMac, with his Musso-style Bowie knife. TexasMac, with his Iron Mistress replica. John "Mustang" Farkis, with the Musso replica. "Nefarious" Ned Huthmacher, with the Iron Mistress replica. Nefarious, with the Musso replica. After lunch in Oma's Haus. Too bad TexasMac did not bring along his "Arkansas Toothpick".

Great pics of a beautiful well made Bowie knife! The Musso Bowie rules! The Iron Mistress is beautiful too but I prefer the Musso Bowie replica...

The Musso Bowie rules! The Iron Mistress is beautiful too but I prefer the Musso Bowie replica... Steve is pleased with it, too. It is a one of a kind replica by knifemaker Wick Ellerbe.
