Besides the presents and stuff, i can't wait for the food...Our Christmas is a traditional Italian meal of stuffed shells with lots of sauce, Italian sausage, garlic bread with some olive oil to dip the bread in, beer and family and prayer. Thats what it's all about..
You are Italian Greg, doesn't that sound good?

sounds great! especially the garlic bread and oil part. i like a lot of foods, but when it comes down to it, i can make a meal of just bread and olive oil with crushed black pepper in it. as for my family, we arent having an italian christmas this year but more of an americanized version. you know with the roast pork, mashed potatoes, sweet potoatoes, gravy etc., etc., kinda like Thanksgiving II.
What are you planning nef?

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
I have to go to church today at 4:30 and its always a great mass to be at. Every year to start the mass, they have a boy and girl pretend to be Mary and Joseph. They make their way around the church while a narration is being read and they finally en dup at a large nativity set where they uncover the baby Jesus. Then these beatiful christmas lights are lit and the church looks amazing. Its the only time out of the year where I actually enjoy to church. Also, during the last year I have been joining my Dad as one of the ushers, to help collect money and control crowd traffic at communion, and this will be my first Christmas Eve Mass.

Sounds like a nice tradition to keep, Greg. (And I surely do love to see the church decked out in pine and poinsettias.) That, along with all of the beautiful Christmas carols sung by the choir---and all of us---makes it that much more special.
I'll be going to my brother's this Christmas eve for an evening of food, festivities and wondering which SCROOGE will be watched, this year. I'll be bringing along a few dozen tamales to eat, tamales being a California Christmas tradition. Then, I may just go and see THE NATIVITY STORY again, before it's gone from the big screen for good. (Matinee prices are only $3.50.)

$3.50? Wow you california guys sure are lucky! Matinees are at $7.50 and evening prices I think are around $9.50. That's why unless i really am dying to see a movie, i just wait for the DVD to come out.

It's an old, bargain theater. Regular tickets go for $5.50 and matinee is $3,50. (Regular theater prices in California are still $9.50 regular and $7.50 matinee.
(I saw THE ALAMO (2004) 3 times there.)
