New Davy Crockett Movie???

A while ago on the Alamo Film webiste (possibly 2 yrs ago) someone posted that a new Davy Crockett film was in the works. A webiste was even given that listed possible directors and actors that might be involved. now it has been so long without even a mention. does anyone have news about this film project?

I really don't know anything about this. While David Zucker (of NAKED GUN fame) had
wanted to do a Crockett film back in the Nineties starring Robin Williams in the title role,
the project got put on the back burner indefinately, it seems.
