Has anyone seen this yet? It looks promising. Brandon Routh, the young actor who portrays Superman/Clark Kent certainly does both resemble and talk like Christopher Reeve.

I saw it yesterday and it was surprisingly enjoyable. The film pays tribute to the Christopher Reeve version by employing the same theme music and even some of the lines from the original 1979 film. There are also some visual throwbacks to the earlier film that may be caught by the discerning eye; ie: in the Clark family farmhouse, there's a photo of Glenn Ford, as Pa Kent above the fireplace.
While it is easy to accept Brandon Routh in the role of Superman and Kevin Spacey as his arch-enemy, Lex Luthor, somehow Lois Lane looks even younger than she did five years previous when Superman had left the earth in search of his home planet, Krypton.
As with all films hoping for a sequel, SUPERMAN RETURNS leaves a lot of loose ends and questions unanswered as the closing credits roll . Still, for those of you who do not mind cliffhanger ending, SUPERMAN RETURNS may just have you hearkening back to those thrilling days of yesteryear when both the world and us were a little younger and innocent.
.
The film concludes with a tribute to both Christopher and Dana Reeve.

It would be nice if they could get Gene Hackman to do a cameo.
