For all you Zulu fans out there has anyone ever seen Khartoum with charleton heston? I rented it today and it is very good so far. It is very much like the zulu wars becase it is the 1880's and in africa.

Yes, I really enjoy KHARTOUM, although I'll leave it to either Bromhead, or AlamoMo to rate it for its historical accuracy, or being true to period.
As an aside, the main gateway in Khartoum doubled for the Alamo in the 1966 TV series, THE TIME TUNNEL.

have you ever noticed how alike the khartoum battle scenes and wayneamo battle scenes are? maybe its becuase of the same camera angle with the thousands of soldiers charging into it.

It's been a long time since i watched the film, But the Battle of Abu Klea, although very brief in the film was exceptionally accurate.
Perhaps Greg, you should move my war on the nile thread to this one since it is directly related... ;D

does anyone know where this movie was actually filmed? I'm not sure but i think some stock footage was shot in the Sudan and alot was shot in Hollywood.
