i rented shaka zulu yeseerday and will watch it today. has anybody seen this version? it was made in 2001 and it stars david hasslehoff?

Yes, I saw it on television. Wan't it a mini-series, or at least a two parter? Seems that , while Shaka's intentions were pure in the beginning, he became rather a scoundrel in the end and so had to be 'dealt with' by his council, much like a latter day Julius Caesar.

It's actually more like a ten parter, I rented it back in the late 80's on VHS and was on four or five cassettes.
I will probably get it on DVD..There is an unrated and uncut version too..What we saw on the history channel had about two hours edited out..

i rented the ten parter in the library and when i watched it the disk was all scrathced so im hoping i can still see it somewhere. maybe a repeat on a&e?
