Watched several of them back in 1957. Interesting to a teen but not very historical I'm afraid.

I seem to recall in the Crockett episode, that Davy is portrayed as a pushy, loud-mouthed hick with shoulder length hair, buckskins and coonskin cap. And, unlike all other meetings between Bowie and Crockett that have been portrayed on film, this episode ends with Crockett saying something like, "If I never see you (Bowie) again, it will be too soon!" Following that remark, there is a shot of the Alamo profile lifted from MAN OF CONQUEST.

There's a pile of a WESTERNS DVD at the 99 Cent Store that contains one episode of the JIM BOWIE series(The Squatter), one of DEATH VALLEY DAYS and one of FURY. For the curious, the price is hard to beat. _________________

I think I have that one too. I remember buying one in the dollar tree and it had three episodes, one of them being "The Squatter"
