All right, I'll admit it. I must be just an old fart, when it comes to music. I just can't understand why today's music is popular with ANYONE. I was just watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade where they were showcasing some of the country's young musical talent. And that's what they sounded like...young. Back in the day, women singers sang like women. So, what's with the current trend of female singers all trying to sound like they're 12 years old? While little girl voices are just fine on little girls, when I hear a woman singing, I expect to hear a gorgeous, mature, adult sound coming out of their mouths. Is that too much to ask?
So, what's your beef, if you've got one?

Today's music sucks! No other way to put it. Thats why my circle of friends all listen to classic rock and nothing else. Death metal is just hairline above rap, which I dont even consider to be music.

She is all over youtube and when i heard her voice, i fell in love with it...I don't really care about the music, it's just that beautiful voice of hers. I think she will go places.. That's the problem I have with American Idol. The audience---and the judges--- votes for the singer with the best voice, not necessarily the most original style. It make's you wonder how the likes of Bob Dylan, Neill Young, or Willie Nelson would rate on Idol if they were young, up and coming artists today.

It's still a great song and the only one from Japan to ever reach #1 on the American charts.
The singer, Kyu Sakamoto, was killed in a 1985 Japan Airlines crash that claimed the lives of over 500 passengers.

Was that the crash where they lost hydrolic controll on the elevators and alot of the passengers had time to write their wills and good byes? Wasn't there several survivors?
