I listened to a few songs by them and was surprised to find that I actually like there stuff. Its a great folk group that has some really powerful lyrics (Puff the Magic Dragon has to be the most well known song of the 20th century). Anyone else?

Bob Dylan's manager, Albert Grossman also managed Peter Paul & Mary. He called them "The Kingston Trio with sex appeal". Grossman wisely funnelled some of Dylan's original compositions to Peter Paul & Mary and the trio in turn made mainstream hits out of them, most notably, Blowing In The Wind, Don't Think Twice (It's Alright) and To o Much Of Nothing. For the past several years now, PBS has run Peter Paul & Mary's Christmas Concert to wide acclaim. Watch for it.

Thanks for the heads up! Personally I think Babylon-Oh-sinner-man is their best song... Kind of an obscure tune. I guess this makes you a true fan. Peter, Paul & Mary also did the hit version of John Denver's LEAVING ON A JET PLANE.

Peter, Paul & Mary also did the hit version of John Denver's LEAVING ON A JET PLANE. I dont consider myself a true fan because I have only heard a few songs by them. The free playlist I use had that song at the top of the page so I added it. Speaking of, heres the link to the best free music site out there: www.projectplaylist.comYou can listen to any song for for and without creating an account. But if you want to create a playlist, you must register for free. You can have up to 75 songs on each list and create as many lists as you want. Check it out.

Projectplaylist is a great little site. But when I try to download a song from iTunes, iTunes either cannot find it, or else only has around 30 cover versions of the song------never the original artist.
I won't be frequenting iTunes much, that's for sure.
Stupid question: If project playlist has the song, why doesn't iTunes?

Can't answer that Nef. Granted PP doesnt have every song I'm looking for but I'm not usually disappointed when I search for a song.

Where does PP get their songs and then why do they have a link to the song on iTunes, but that site doesn't have the song? I'm wanting to burn the songs onto a disc.
