For me, they are the greatest. They have been making records since 1974 and are still making them. Although, i like their mid 70's thru to early 80's work the best, they still kick butt!!

There have been some killer sounding bands through the years that are Canadian! ;D Among the best are Mahogany Rush ,Rush,April Wine and others! Rush,i got their first album in 74,and saw them live in Austin Texas in 75,76,and 77! the first Rush concert i saw in 75 had them opening for Ted Nugent!;D,and tickets were $3.50 advance and $4.50 the day of the show! Rush came out playing hard rock metal, and everybody in the crowd got startled and jumped out of their shoes when Geddy Lee started singing! my gosh Geddy hit the high notes and at first you almost had to cover your ears!his voice is high pitched and got our attention real quick! I was standing in front of the stage with my elbows resting on it,as was everybody else! we were all drinking our beer and such as to enhance the experience of the show! ;D,and believe me when i say it worked! ;D As Bromhead said he likes their early stuff and i too have to agree with him on that! A few early songs of RUSH that were good,"Finding my way","Working man"from their first album and "Anthem"from their second album! On their first album it was hard rock, then their second album they were more of a progressive rock band from then on! the addition of Neal Peart did not hurt either! ;D TED....aka....cole_blooded

even so, jon bonham would probably be better than him. I don't know about that...Bonham was good for his style of music (Blues) where Neal is hard rock
