He should of argued with JLH to get the church placed in the right place. For me, thats the biggest oops in the film and may have helped in it's bad reviews....
Discussions?

Set designer Michael Corenblith's model of the Alamo compound for THE ALAMO (2004), currently on display as part of the Texas Movies Exhibit at the Bob Bullock Museum in Austin, through September 8th. They never finished the back of the long barracks nor the cattle corral. Ran out of money maybe?

Bexar it-self actually looks smaller from this point of view. From ground level, it looks much larger. Did they use CGI to make the town look larger in the way of buildings?

I saw the set this past February from the road on the upper right of the photo . Talked to the girls at the 'Falls park and the proprietor of the nearest quickshop on Fitzhugh and they were of the opinion that the set is crumbling rather quickly....http://www.texashiker.com/Texarticles_Remember_The_Alamo!_The_Alamo_Movie_Set_That_Is!.html

Sadly, both time and the elements are beginning to take their toll on the Dripping Springs set.

Nice aerial shots, Bromhead! The Alamo compound looks as though it's missing about half the plaza, though!
