Here's the north wall of the Alamo compound at Dripping Springs, looking west, toward the town. From Mo Jones' photo collection, March 4, 2005.

It was a pretty good movie. It's the only Alamo movie I've ever seen. Overall, I give it a 4.

The movie has been on Showtime all of last weekend. I watched it several times and noticed that it looked different from the DVD version. Case in point (actually the only thing i noticed) was when the cannon fired during the final battle, it seemed like when they showed the soldados being torn up by the canister shot, it was "edited" We see the cannon shot and we see the soldados start to react, then the scene is cut. It looked like they edited the canister shots, all of them. This is a PG-13 movie so why would Showtime edit scenes that don't really show any blood or gore?
Am i seeing things or did any of you notice?
Mike

I didn't see them but I wouldn't be surprised. Movies shown on TV are always edited for the worse.
