I seem to remember watching a film on that topic years ago called GODS FROM OUTER SPACE.
In the film, it was speculated that when Jacob saw the angel descending from heaven on a ladder, it was really the ladder of an extra-terrestrial spacecraft and the angel itself, an ET. It was an interesting film and no more. Nothing faith-shattering.

Really? That sort of genre was very popular, back in the 1970's, be it on film or in paperback book. (And I have to admit that I too ate it up with a spoon.)
There was GODS FROM OUTER SPACE, IN SEARCH OF ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS, IN SEARCH OF NOAH'S ARK, THE LINCOLN CONSPIRACY and THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE. All quite fascinating stuff, whether you choose to believe in it, or not.
Hey Greg, I forget, do you already have a Bermuda Triangle thread?
