My wife got it for me at Walmart and when i got home from work, i unplugged the phone, turned on the surround sound feature on my stereo and.....FINALLY....watched the movie. I loved it and if i was to nit pick, The placement of the chapel is the only burr under my saddle. It also seems that "Jesus" and the old Sgt had a more of a role in the "Uncut" film and i wish they hashed them out a bit more.
On my way now to watch it again....

It's located about half way between Ulundi and Helpmakaar, and it's a super Walmart ;D
Actually, where i live in central Nebraska, I have three super Walmarts all within 70 miles and the one closest that has sold out the wide screen version as of yesterday still has a low supply. There seems to be more of the full screen versions on the shelves though.

Just ran across this UK version of the DVD cover on eBay. Has anyone seen it before? While the four major characters are all represented, their names are out of order.

Just saw THE ALAMO (2004) DVD on sale at Walmart yesterday for $7.44. They had a big pile of them. Perhaps this would be a good time to stock up for Christmas presents.

Yeah, saw them at Wal-mart too. Made me angry because last year I went on a huge search for the dvd, and found a copy under a huge stack of dvds in a secret drawer in Fry's Electronics.

Don't feel too bad, Calico. Seems that many people were trying to 'bury' THE ALAMO (2004) while it was yet in the theaters. Did the folks at Disney really hope for the film to fail, just to make Michael Eisner look bad? Quen Sabe?

Just saw the amazing director's cut of KING ARTHUR. What a wondrous battlefest! No punches pulled here.
KING ARTHUR, a Touchstone film that came out immediately after THE ALAMO (2004) and that was also novelized by Frank Thompson, had a director's cut in no time, with all sorts of goodies and extras. Why, oh why cannot Touchstone see the light and release THE ALAMO director's cut?!
