Is anyone out there a Harry Potter fan? In spite of the franchise's enormous book-sales and box office success, I must admit that personally, I do not find myself captivated by it all. (I fell asleep during a viewing of the first film.) So, for all of you fans, what's the allure? It looks like a rehash of old Disney films: SWORD IN THE STONE, BED KNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS, FLUBBER, THE GNOME MOBILE, WITCH MOUNTAIN, etc...

i saw the first one a few years back and i didnt care for it very much. i never read the books and will never see the other movies.
