DENNISON, STEPHEN (1812-1836). Stephen Dennison, Alamo defender, was born in either England or Ireland in 1812. He was a glazer and painter by trade. He traveled to Texas by way of New Orleans as a member of Capt. Thomas H. Breece'sqv company of New Orleans Greys.qv He took part in the siege of Bexarqv and later served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William Blazeby'sqv infantry company. Dennison died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.
