Doesn't this photo with the tour bus almost look like it's on a Universal Studios backlot tour? Look at all those buildings right next to the Alamo church, and then the street and curb are right out in front of it. In a word, it looks fake. It's like a cramped for space movie lot. At least we can be thankful that those buildings no longer exist and that the street has now been pushed all the way over across the plaza. Progress has been made in the almost 90 years since this photo was taken.

This one looks to be c-1913, as the Hugo and Schmeltzer alteration of the wall adjoining the Long Barrack has not been lowered to one story yet. Attachments:
