My favorite type of ethnic food is obviously italian (when you consider my middle, confirmation, and last name). I love pizza, pasta with meatballs, chicken parmesean, chicken cacciatore, and salami and prosciutto. What's yours?

Figgers, you fellers not being of the WESTERN persuasion.
Out here, it's Mexican food. Burritos, tamales enchiladas, chile rellanos, frijoles, fajitas, steak picado an' o' course that Texican staple, chile con carne.

there's a great mexican restaurant in Freehold NJ called El Meson. They have great enchiladas and burritos and an even better nacho supremo. that is eight large tortilla chips with either chicken or steak and then smothered in cheese, beans, olives and guacamole and topped of with your choice of sauce.

My all-time favorite is I-Talian, but I picked Eastern Indian because I enjoy that as well and have been in the mood for it most recently.

I've been to CA and I found it difficult to find queso. Plus, black beans seems to dominate pinto beans way, way out there.

Sour cream and avocados are not exactly low in calories, but they do add a nice touch to the "Cal-Mex" cuisine. No Queso? I order everything smothered in queso. Matter of fact, one of my favorite apetizers is oven-baked tortilla chips, with cheddar cheese. Yum! Sorta crusty, gooey, chewy. Sounds good to me too!! ;D

My favorite ethnic food is French! ;D A good homemade Quiche is hard to beat! You can`t go wrong with French bread and some good French cheese! Some of the best chocolate I have ever tasted came from France and Belgium! Also TexMex is big in Texas and the Austin area! Barbecue is another real winner too in these parts! ;D TED COLE....aka....Cole_blooded

I tried one of those Taco Bell crunch wraps the other day. No distinctive flavor at all and the tortilla was scorched.

I guess I am fortunate that in the town I live there are quite a few Indian restaraunts (actually they are Bangladshi but get called Indian anyhow although the food is quite different from Indian)
My favorites dishes are King Prawn Balti or King Prawn Dupiaza I also love the pompodoms with lime pickle as well as the onion bargees. I am hungry now talking about this food.

I have an Indian Restaurant called Neelam about ten minutes from me. The Tandoori Chicken is very good and they have a terrific Onion Baji (Deep fried onion with curry powder.)

Getting back to Italian food, does anyone else like Scungili? It's almost like Calamari but its flat instead of rings. It's great with a spicy marinara sauce over pasta. My mom and her side of the family love it but my dad and his side of the family don't like it even thoguh they are both of italian descent. that's why when i tried it for the first time and liked it, my dad was shocked that I lactually liked a food that he doesn't.
