Since my last PSA and cholesterol test, it's lipitor and Oatmeal. The oatmeal for breakfast and supper and a low fat salad for lunch. The PSA was good but my HDL's and LDL's where way out of wack.. Anyway, like I was sayin', Oatmeal is the fruit of the plains. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There, uh, Oatmeal kabobs, Oatmeal creole... ...Oatmeal gumbo, panfried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple Oatmeal, lemon Oatmeal, coconut Oatmeal, pepper Oatmeal...
...Oatmeal soup, Oatmeal stew, Oatmeal salad, Oatmeal and potatoes, Oatmeal burger, Oatmeal sandwich... that's, that's about it.

I´ve been eating oatmeal as part of my breakfast for many years. I often eat a second portion during the day. It is said to be the best cereal product! I did´nt know that it´s good for your cholesterol level, but I´m glad that it is because my cholesterol level is a little bit too high. Nothing alarming though...

Oatmeal is supposed to be one of the best things out there for cholesterol. My cholesterol isn't high but it isn't low either, but I still should eat more of it. Add a little brown sugar and some raisins, and you have a delicous and quick breakfast.

And it's cheaper than regular cereal, too.
(Hey Bromhead, are we going to have to start calling you "Bubba" now?)

You can make your own Müsli! Oatmeal with raisins, Small pieces of various nuts, banana slices and whatever you feel like putting in. It´s much cheaper than buying Müsli from the supermarket and you get exactly what you like. Taste better too...

My Mom actually brought Müsli from Ikea (Swedish market and Furniture Store) and she made me try it and it was very good and very healthy.

I have a real mushy banana sitting on the kitchen counter. Instead of merely throwing it out, I think I'll just mash it up into some oatmeal tomorrow morning. This sort of salvage job works well with all manner of soft fruit and kinda zips up the oatmeal, seeing as how I only get plain, quick oats.
If I had a box of banana bread, I could use it for that. Instead of the required two eggs, I just substitue an entire banana. It makes for real moist bread.

Yeah, I enjoy rice as a staple, too. You can stretch your groceries budget with it, too. As for myself, I can take, say, one piece of chicken, dice it up and stirfry it with some onions and peppers and then eat for several days with it over a nice bed of freshly steamed rice.
Asians use meat as a seasoning. Americans eat it by the pound.
