While the Alastair Sim version remains my favorite, the new Disney version with Jim Carrey is surprisingly good and faithful to the Dickens novel. At times, Carrey even seems to Channel Sim, without going over the top. The soundtrack, filled with wonderful Carols is also great, too.

This remains the first year that I can remember where I did not watch the George C. Scott version (or any other version for that matter). I was just too damn busy in December.

Alistair Sim 1951 is still my favorite.
