Amazing find, Greg. For many folks here, this will oudoubtedly be their first viewing of the TIME TUNNEL episode of THE ALAMO. And to think I only paid $30.00 for a used VHS copy.

I watched i before and couldn't believe how bad the inaccuracies are. Like Crockett being killed a day before the final assault.

Alex, did you have to buy the entire season on DVD, or just the single episode?

Many of the episodes availible look rather interesting. I may watch some if I didn't have to sit in this chair for an hour watching a small screen.

Alex, did you have to buy the entire season on DVD, or just the single episode? The entire season is on the four DVDs had I lived in the States I would have copied the episode for you..

Great pics! I notice that Crockett takes on a soldao on horse - just like Crockett (Wayne) did in the Waynamo! There´s of course lots of similarities between the two movies...

Did anyone else notice the pistol the captain had? It had the action of an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor with a fake frizzen and an altered hammer.
Another interesting thing I saw was that the bandit who captured the time traveler had what appeared to be a .30-'06 round with a soft-nosed hunting bullet in his bandolier.
I also found it odd that the highly educated people in the Time Tunnel control room had never heard of the Alamo...

Far from as good as RebAl's, but here are a few screen caps from the TIMJE TUNNEL Alamo. While I still think the set looks like the one from KHARTOUM, I believe some one once mentioned that it could possibly be the old castle set that used to stand on the Universal Studios lot. If so, they must've tried to disguise it with all that wood plastered over the main gate.

For some unknown reason, they decided to call the Dickinsons the "Reyersons".
