I have to ask you guys for your thoughts and prayers but, it's not for the person to get better, but for the person to have a peaceful journey to the hereafter. A priest in the parish I go to, who is also a good friend of the family, was diagnosed with Melanoma last year. He's gone through Chemotherapy and many other procedures to combat the disease. Every time it looks like he was going to get better, the disease fought back and now it appears to have taken its toll. He has been put into a hospice and all of his doctor appoinments for the future have been cancelled. His family from Ireland was at the hospital to see him the other day and it appears this is the end. The doctors say there is nothing more they can do for him and there is zero chance of recovery. I just hope his journey will not be painful and he will finally be at peace.
Looks like the poor man may pass within the next day. More family are flying in from Ireland today but there flight was delayed. All visitations except for family are not permitted. I still can't believe how fast the disease progressed. It seems just yesterday we were tlaking about the Rangers after mass...

I'm sorry to hear that Greg. I had a neighbor who was diagnosed with liver cancer and she died within a week...
I will pray for him tonight....

Thanks Mike.
It's just amazing how fast things progress. But if there no hope, it's better to be done quickly.

I´ll pray for him right now. I hope he´ll pass quickly!
My dad died from stomach cancer. He suffered greatly the last 2 weeks. As you say, Greg, it´s best to go quickly if there´s no hope anyway...
