Hi Ya'll; Greg , Nef I don't know how to post pictures on the web yet. I'll have to get my brother Tom to help. He teaches computin' at one of the local collages and I'm sure he know's how. My Crockett persona that I do covers from the Creek Indian War here in Alabama; (1813 - 1814) and I do Col Crockett has well. My girlfriend Kathy and I played David and Elizabeth Crockett at the David Crockett Birthplace Park a couple of years ago. That was a real pleasure; I would love to play at San Antone one day. I have played Crockett on TV 4 times now mostly for Alabama Public Television and various other shows in little segments with hosts of outdoor type shows. The strangest one was playing Crockett next to the 1834 portrait painted by Chester Harding. I was cast to play him when the painting came to the Montgomery Muesum of Fine Arts a few years ago. The painting was part of an exhibit from the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. The museum folks found out aboout me and hired me to play Crockett beside the portrait one Sat afternoon during a childrens' festival at the museum. I kinda look like the portrait. I have a picture that the folks at the mueaum took of me next to the painting and when Tom helps me that will be one of the pics I'll post. Thanks for askin' boy this is great; all of Alamoed folks together. Plesure to be here with you all. Al

Even though it was just a film, it still gave me a very peculiar feeling observing the Mexican troop movements from atop those walls. We was hemmed in.

Jerry Laing, feeling hemmed in himself.

Being hemmed in was thirsty work for me.

As a soldado outside the north wall, I got to witness Casey Biggs practicing his Travis death scene. As the soldado fires up at Casey, he pivots around and then goes down. In the filmed version, it looks as though he just goes down on cue.

Being hemmed in was thirsty work for me. Must've been fun wearing wool in South Texas in August . . .

It was indeed wonderful Rick, having to huddle around fires pretending we were cold when the temp was up to 113.

The APOF revamp of the Long Barrack. Lots of nice "dressing" in this one. From the woman sitting on the well, to the two unmounted cannon tubes, the freshly slaughtered stuffed cowhide barricades, chair on the balcony and that criss-cross wooden barricade by the low wall.
