Have you tried to burn the laser disc Director's Cut of THE ALAMO onto DVD, Alex? Laser discs do not seem to have copyright protection.
Frankly, I don't see why UA doesn't just transfer the WAYNAMO laser disc onto DVD officially.

Nef I totally agree with you regarding UA transferring the LD to DVD as it's an excellent copy in fact they could borrow mine. The problem I have regarding transferring it to DVD (I have tried) is that it's a NTSC copy an although my TV will play it OK my DVD recorder will only record PAL (Not copyrighted that is LD) I also have the directors cut of Gettysburg on LD same problem!

Why not buy a cheap multiregion DVD player that plays both PAL and NTSC? I did that and it works just fine. No more trouble with PAL/NTSC and regions!

Just in from Alamo Village: Rich Curilla standing lookout in the San Fernando church tower, awaiting the cattle drive.

I was´nt talking about movies at all, so that´s why I did´nt get it. $39 for a DVD recorder (not just a DVD player) is pretty cheap! The cheapest DVD recorder I´ve seen over here was $200 - and that was a bargain! No harddisk of course.

Steve Abolt, as Colonel Travis. Is that a chalupa he's holding there? Looks good.
