Screen and television comedian Tom Poston has passed away. He was 85. While many may remember Tom in some late Eighties, early Nineties sitcoms, my first gander at his talent dates back to the early Sixties when Mr. Poston appeared in a sci-fi comedy called ZOTZ! Seems Tom's character had acquired this ancient coin that would cause everything around its holder to freeze when- ever he would utter the word 'Zotz'. Needless to say, he had the U.S. govern- ment and the Russians all chasing him around to acquire the coin and its power.
In an episode of Rod Serling's NIGHT GALLERY, Poston and a lady companion are being pursued through a haunted house. The surprise ending is that they are actually vampires being pursued by vampire hunters.
Mr. Poston appeared on THE BOB NEWHART SHOW and ended up marrying its costar, Suzanne Pleshette, 70 who was at his side at the time of his death.
Farewell Tom.

Until just a couple of years ago, I didn't know Poston had married Suzanne Pleshette. A funny guy and a beautiful woman! That must have been a happy household.
