Actress Deborah Kerr, who starred in such films as THE KING AND I and FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, has died in Suffolk, England of complications related to Parkinson's Disease. She was 86. My own favorite role of Deborah's has to be that of Miss Giddons, the governess in the dark and creepy 1961 chiller, "THE INNOCENTS (an adaptation of the Henry James novella "TURN OF THE SCREW) and probably one of the best ghost stories ever put to celluoid. Other Deborah Kerr films include KING SOLOMON'S MINES, THE PRISONER OF ZENDA, HEAVEN KNOWS MR. ALLISON, AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER, THE SUNDOWNERS, NIGHT OF THE IGUANA and CASINO ROYALE. She also appeared on the stage, most notably in the 1953 Broadway production of TEA AND SYMPATHY, for which she received a Tony nomination. Goodbye, Deborah. You will be missed. FROM HERE......TO ETERNITY

She will be missed, i loved her in "Heaven knows Mr Allison" Rest in peace. Yeah, she and Robert Mitchum made quite a pair in that 1957 film about a U.S. marine and a nun stranded on an island during WWII.

So THE OTHERS really ripped this movie off... I enjoyed THE OTHERS, The atmosphere was great, but the ending kind of fell flat for me.
