I thought that it would be kind of a good idea to get a thread going where members could either sell, trade, or wish for Alamo-related items that other members might have in their collection. Hence, this TRADIN' POST thread.

To get the ball rolling, I have an extra copy of each of the below listed Alamo-related VHS tapes. If anyone would like to acquire these items, lets start talking turkey---NOW! WALT DISNEY'S DAVY CROCKETT, KING OF THE WILD FRONTIER REAL WEST BATTLE OF THE ALAMO, Narrated by Kenny Rogers GONE TO TEXAS, starring Sam Elliott and featuring a few familiar reenactor's faces.

How much for the Disney tape, Nef? I'm not trying to make a killing here. Say $3.00 for each tape, plus postage. Does anyone else have some interesting Alamo items for either sale, or trade?

If any serious transactions come about, they can be done privately If you wish. And just remember, If something goes wrong with the transaction, Alamo Central is not liable for any damages, so please, don't sue me, sue Nef....
(just kidding)

I finally found a copy of Jackson´s "The Alamo, an epic told from both sides" at Abebooks. The dealer is Island Books in Galveston, Texas. He still got one copy left if anybody´s interested. I´ve been chasing that sucker for almost 2 years and finally I succeded. I received it this morning and it sure looks like an interesting read and the artwork is just great...

(Disney´s Crockett episodes I already got). Was it 3$ a piece plus postage? Are they on dvd or video?

Especially since I just read Jackson´s Indian Lover about Houston. I´ll see if I can spot you in the movie... Btw, great that Abebooks had your Zavala book! I got Jackson´s Alamo book there too. It seems like Abebooks is the place to look for books long sold out.

Okay Seguin, I'll get the tapes in the mail to you either late today, or early tomorrow. (I'll also let you know what the postage is, just as soon as I find out.) NOTE: My most prominent scene in the film is at the battle of San Jacinto. There is a close-up of several of us Texians charging the barricade directly into the camera. Here's how I look in the scene.
