I have perhaps 100 plus books dealing with the subject, many first edition antiquarian volumes. The pride of my collection includes an 1837 copy of "Crockett's Exploits and Adventures In Texas", as well as an 1845 edition of Crockett's autobiography.
Aside from videos on the Alamo, I also collect movie stills that show images of the Alamo as a fort. And, like Bromhead, I too like to collect old postcards. Bromhead seems to have the edge on me in this department, however. He has some absolutely WONDERFUL old postcards!

I would like to find the scripts for both JW's and the recent Alamo movies, maybe there is a web site that have them. I did find Zulu Dawn which i posted a link in the Zulu section

im sure they are out their somewhere. if you want the script for the recent alamo movie you should by frank thompsons book"the alamo illustrated story of an epic film". it has tons of stories, pictures and the full script that even includes the deleted scenes.

AlamoGuy, there are a number of props from the new Alamo movie currently listed for auction over on eBay; Mexican ammunition boxes, shako plates, uniform buttons, belt buckles and a few prop weapons. Check it out.
Say, when are you going to post a photo of your prop pistol?

On March 8, the day I was set to return home to California from San Antonio, Dr. James Crisp was doing a book signing at the Alamo for "Sleuthing The Alamo", so I purchased his last copy, before heading on off to the airport. I was flattered that Dr. Crisp actually recognized me on sight. I was able to speak with him for a few minutes, too.

I don't really have an Alamo collection except for some clandestine purloining of an alamo stone here and there over the years. At this rate, by the year 2314, I should have the entire Alamo in my backyard.
( I really haven't been stealing stones)
