Five Forks Virginia The Battle of Five Forks was fought on April 1, 1865, southwest of Petersburg, Virginia, in Dinwiddie County, during the Appomattox Campaign of the American Civil War. The battle, sometimes referred to as the " Waterloo of the Confederacy," pitted Union Major General Philip H. Sheridan against Confederate Major General George E. Pickett of Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. Pickett's loss at Five Forks triggered Lee's decision to abandon his entrenchments around Petersburg and begin the retreat that led to his surrender at Appomattox Court House on April 9. Not much there now but in 1865 it must have been very hectic.

Notice the hand-stitched gussets off the coat's shoulders.

Notice the hand-stitched gussets off the coat's shoulders. Now that you mention it, yes.

Great pictures I bought the book " Gettysburg you are there " which certainly gives you an idea of the actual battle.

I need to make it a bit more grany or something, it's just missing something. The wife took the photoshop disk and i'm using a free trial that doesn't have all of the features.
She said she will send the disk so i will be able to make them more period like..
