I was listening to some John Stewart and feeling kind of melancholy. His music was part of the soundtrack of my life and now, I'll never be able to see him in concert again. It's a sign that I'm growing older and it makes me all too keenly aware of my own mortality. Seeing a singer/composer that you practically grew up with pass away is like another chunk of yourself gone. I guess it's bad for you too, Greg, because you seem to appreciate some of the old warhorse singers and musicians. Add the passage of time to that, plus a gloomy, drizzly day and you might be feeling a bit melancholy, yourself.
RIP, John. I started listening to you when you were only 29 years old and now, I'm fast approaching twice that age.
