hey Bromhead24,i saw Rush live in Austin Texas in 75 and 76 at a famous concert site called the Armadillo World Headquarters which sadly closed down in 1980! Pat Travers i seen in 76 and 77 at the same venue!and did you know that Rush opened for Ted Nugent at the 75 show and that was when Teds song came out called Stranglehold1it just cost 3.50 to see the both of them and it was a rockin show BIG time! ALAMOGUY i saw E.L.O. in Austin in 73 and they had a real heavy Texas band warming up for them called Navasota! favorite band or bands i saw live were the original Black Sabbath in 75 and 78,the 78 show had a new band called Van Halen opening up man, after those two your ears were dead!a band that i truly loved to death and they kicked a_s each time was the guitar band called Mahogany Rush!i saw them in 75,76.77 and 79 and Frank Marino was one of the best and still is my favorite guitar player that i saw live! My first RUSH concert was in Jan 1979 is the Spectrum in Philadelphia.... The tour of the Hemispheres, "The famous Blondie incident" where my older brother caught Neils drum stick.
I like all of Pat Travers stuff when he had Tommy Aldridge on the drums.

yep just as i thought! Tommy Aldridge played on nine albums for Black Oak Arkansas from 72-76,then he was drummer for Pat Travers from 78-81 after that he did a few albums in the early eighties with Ozzy Osbourne.he had some time playing for a band called Whitesnake also in the mid to late eighties! Tommy is currently playing with Ted Nugent, as of last July anyway. He is 3rd in my top three drummers list. 1. Neil Peart.........RUSH 2. Rod Morganstein.....The Dixie Dregs/Steve Morse Band/Winger. 3. Tommy Aldridge.......Pat Travers Band I got on Tommy's web site and sent him a email and he wrote back!!, that was very cool..

My favorite band is The Who. They helped me survive high school in the mid-'70s. I can't get enough of their music. I even made a point to see Roger Daltry in "Litsztomania" even though the movie was panned. I have Quadrophenia on dvd.

AC/DC i saw in 77 on their first tour of the States here in Austin Texas! ;D It was the original AC/DC with Bon Scott. .Those guys were loud and ROCKED the house down and Bon Scotts vocals ruled! AC/DC i believe made it into the RR hall of fame. But RUSH however has yet to be nominated, because of political reasons by one of the induction members. I think that stinks!!!!!
