WATERS, THOMAS (1812-1836). Thomas Waters, Alamo defender, was born in England in 1812. He emigrated to Texas by way of New Orleans as a member of Capt. Thomas Breece's company of New Orleans Greys.qv Waters took part in the siege of Bexarqv and later served in the Alamo garrison in Capt. William R. Carey'sqv artillery company. Waters died in the battle of the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
