PERRY, RICHARDSON (1817-1836). Richardson Perry, Alamo defender, son of Burwell Perry, an early settler of Texas, was born in Texas in 1817. He was single and received a land grant in Brazos County on October 10, 1835. Perry took part in the siege of Bexarqv and later served in the Alamo garrison as a member of Capt. William R. Carey'sqv artillery company. He died in the battle of the Alamoqv on March 6, 1836.

From other publications, I have read the birthplace of Richardson Perry as being in Hancock County, Miss.
Can you clarify this for me?
