Nice, Is that supposed to be the Low Barracks?

Nice, Is that supposed to be the Low Barracks? Yes indeed. And it is rather LOW, isn't it? To be fair, those two tall Texians appear to be standing on top of the lunette.

It looks like "Denver Pyle" sitting on top, just over the archway..

I can recall several paintings showing a redoubt in the upper level of the church, is there any actual evidence of this?

Artist John Jensen did this watercolor of Texian volunteers for THE ALAMO (1960).

I can recall several paintings showing a redoubt in the upper level of the church, is there any actual evidence of this? Mike, the Sanchez Navarro drawing of the Alamo shows some sort of tower atop the church. What it's purpose was, or how it was supported, quen sabe?

Well, this is the earliest drawing (1836), so other artists may've picked up on the tower, then added it to their work.

You forgot this picture of the engraved initials of I. M. What happened to the personal items that the defenders had in their pockets? Did they get thrown into the fire with the bodies? I doubt it.
