I'll be heading to La Villita in San Antonio this coming Saturday, December 11 for the reenactment of the battle of Bejar. The event will be held between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM with a morning and afternoon reenactment. While a SALHA sponsored event, other reenactment groups such as Primer Battalion de Mexico will also be joining in to flesh out the ranks.
Photos to follow, of course.

Adam Dominguez, on the right, as a presidial trooper. I guess the presidio troops kind've got lax in keeping their uniforms standard, as Adam's ticking haversack, botas, gourd canteen, and leather belts attest.

That poor Tejana girl in the black hat will later be killed trying to get water for the Texian fighting men.

Clouds of smoke shroud the plaza. Can you imagine what it must've been like for the Alamo men at night?

The smoke was getting ridiculous. And just remember, this was only a few reenactors, not two armies engaged.

Young Tejana, killed while trying to get water for the Texians. You should've seen the women in the audience wince. They were used to seeing men killed in battle in movies, but not a woman.
