Greg, you're "barkin' up the wrong tree". lol Just kidding bud. Me and you have a goal to accomplish. Our generation is one who isn't as historically oriented as was those of the baby boomer era. So, we have alot of work to do to bring in the interest of our youth. Reaching out like this, with our messageboards, is one of those ways. All the best, Wade you said it. we need to spread the knowledge of history or its interest will die.

For any member, or all you browsers who peek in here, don't forget to check out Wade Dillon's Alamo Sentry Site. It is not only a great place to discuss all things Alamo, but I also post different photos and stuff there.

Many members on this site have memberships on Alamo Sentry. Also check out thealamofilm.com where all of us have memberships.

Done! I use the same nick as here at thealamofilm.com. At Alamo Sentry I had to settle for Juan, since Seguin was already taken. See y´all around...

Of late, alamo central seems to be having more activity that either Alamo Sentry or the Alamo Film Site.

Of late, alamo central seems to be having more activity that either Alamo Sentry or the Alamo Film Site. The Alamo Film Site keeps getting more and more member registrations but less posts.

I have registred as a member and introduced myself but I have´nt made my first real post yet because I cant contribute anything to the current topics. There´s some old threads I find interesting but I´m afraid the members involved in those threads are long gone. As soon as a topic comes up, that I can contribute to, I´ll post. And Alamo Sentry looks quite dead. That´s too bad. It seems like it was the Alamo (2004) movie that generated a lot of interest in the subject. When the movie became old news, most members on the various Alamo forums drifted away and only the die hards have remained. And now summer is here and naturally causes less activety (if that´s possible)...

The Alamo Film Site has 1961 members but there are about 50 that frequently post. Alamo Sentry has 400 members but less then twenty post. We have 83 members but only have about 7 frequent posters including yourself.

We have 83 members but only have about 7 frequent posters including yourself. That´s about one out of twenty who posts on the two other forums. Here it´s about one in twelve. So, percentage wise we´re way ahead! There´s hardly any postings on Alamo Sentry the three weeks I´ve been a member there (besides Nef, of course - it´s very nice of him to try to keep it alive). Maybe Alamo Sports and Alamo Sentry should join forces? It´s maybe better to have one active forum than two not so active. Of course that would depend on you guys having the same goals and visions. And I fully understand if both of you prefers to have your own board. It´s just an idea, nothing more...

Wade Dillon has just graduated high school and is now focussing more on his future college goals, a Summer job AND of course, the wimmins. I well understand that and do try to keep the Sentry afloat in his absence. If all of us who post here would post over there at least once a day, it would help considerably.

Hey Folks, Ned's correct! ;D I graduated on May 21st and am currently trying to find a stable job that will support my college needs and car, car insurance, etc. Now, the wimmins....well, Raven and I have made it well over 2 years, but have been experiencing many obstacles along the way. Just wish us the best. Anyway, I've highly appreciated the support I've received from everyone, even here! And Greg, you've done an amazing job and I'm really liking the new, clean layout you've chosen for your messageboard. It goes together smoothly. I know you'll be around for a long time to take part in the Alamo field. Ned, thank you for all you've done. I don't say that enough. With all your contributions to all Alamo messageboards and trying your best to keep Alamo Sentry stable....I highly appreciate it. I really do. And Seguin, sorry that your experience at the Sentry hasn't been the best. Alot is happening right now within the Alamo field. And I'll fill you all in on something.... I am currently trying to establish a new Alamo website, called The Alamo Sentry , which will be along the lines of the famous Alamo de Parras website from long ago! I simply need to find the needs and support to do so. It will be a civil online community where everyone with a voice and opinion will be heard and not slandered and verbally beaten for their beliefs. I can assure you that. (And that is one of the reasons the Alamo Film Site failed.....) I'll keep you folks posted. And feel free to send me an email if you have any ideas or would like to help. All the best, Wade Dillon Creator of Alamo Sentry

Glad you like the new layout! That seems to be the one change to this site that everyone has liked. As for graduating High School, congratulations and good luck in college. I will try to post more on your site but I have felt funny posting on the The Alamo Film Site becuase there are so many new members and the veteran posters have mostly left. If you need any help with your new site, please let me know.

Wade: Thanks for filling us in! I look forward to see your new site. I have an idea; If you lack money to set up the site, a good idea is to ask the members to become Supporting Members. I´m a supporting member myself at another US based site (not Alamo related). I pay 10$ once a year through PayPal and for that I get some extra options on the site such as editing my posts etc. That´s less than a dollar a month for securing the existence of a site I like very much. Maybe that´s an idea for you, if money is a problem. Good luck with college - and the wimmen folk Nef: I´ll also try to post daily at the Sentry as well, however, summer is coming so there will be days, or even a few weeks, where I´ll be out of town...

Yes, it is up! Come on over and join and then throw in your own two bits. One nice thing about the NEW ALAMO SENTRY is that it also includes the old ALAMO SENTRY as archives, so none of the great info recorded there is lost to us.

But when I go into a sub-forum, the blue color is missing and the letters are all helter-skelter. Some of the letters lie on top of other letters. Something is clearly wrong!!
