Most registered members have recieved emails with there new account information for the upgraded site. I have recieved complaints from various members and right now, the upgrade isn't seeming like a good idea. Because of this, please continue to use the original site until the new site is ready. When that will
be, I don't know. I apologize for any inconvenience.

People in general complaining how they liked this site better because it's easier to use and that the articles here have too much value to be just cast away. I agree with them and I really don't know what I should do. Can't go wrong with just sticking to the site...

I see! But the idea was to try and see if it was possible to move all the stuff here to the new site, so nothing would be cast away! Why not try and see if that´s possible? You can still stick to this site ! It´s not a case of either/or!

Damn! That settles it, I guess. You could do as Wade did, of course. Make a new site with a link to the old site, but I don´t know if that´s a good idea, although it worked fine for Wade...

It didn't work out fine. Very few members visit the archives and the old Sentry is like a Ghost Library. Lots of good stuff there to view, but with not a soul to view it. |

I thought some people looked at the archives now and then. In the last 24 hours there´s only been posts by The Nefarious & Seguin show on the new site, so unless more posters are getting involved the future of the archives looks very bleak indeed... |

This forum works perfectly well and there are some excellent articles and many many pictures to view I don't see the need to make a new site and then have to repost everything again. I have been a member of a few forums where this has occured and most people just lost interest and left.

I agree with you Al, we're trying to accomodate everyone's needs. If this cannot be met then we're gonna stay put. For now, we do have a new homepage which can be checked out by visiting: alamo.lue402.com/ |
