Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) is when the Mexicans kicked some French tusche. It has nothing to do with Texas history or US history for that matter and the only reason you can read so much about it here in Texas is because the Hispanc community chooses to celebrate it. Frankly, the only reason I smile about it at all is because the French got there rears handed to them.
