For those of you who could not attend, I hope these Battle of Flowers photos helped you get a feeling of what it was like to actually be there.

Last Sunday, the last day of Fiesta San Antonio, I visited Mission San Jose. It was a very blustery, overcast day.

Indian quarters at mission San Jose. (Sort of suggests what the Alamo's west wall might've looked like, yes?)

The Ben Milam Monument, as seen from the bandstand in Milam Square, formerly San Antonio's Campo Santo. In THE ALAMO (2004), Davy Crockett and his men enter San Antonio here, just about where the Milam monument now sits.

Nefarious Ned Huthmacher, back at the Alamo, once more. You know, when just thinking about the different missions ands points of interest around San Antonio, we sometimes may visualize them as being miles and miles apart. In fact, anything of historical signifacence is pretty darn close, in reality. Why the Mission Concepcion is only 2.8 miles from the Alamo! Someone with a bicycle and a good pair of legs could do it all in one day, if they had to.
