That´s a good detailed pic! The stones look very real. What´s the Waynamo Chapel actually made of?

That´s a good detailed pic! The stones look very real. What´s the Waynamo Chapel actually made of? While Al Ybarra constructed the facade out of limestone, the rest of the chapel and compound was of real adobe brick. In the above photo, you can almost feel the adobe melting away. Notice how dark limestone can get, if not cleaned? 14 years earlier, it was a nice rusty pink. Today, the PRICE OF FREEDOM version of the chapel. constructed of plywood, chicken wire and stucco is still holding its own. Hopefully, when the compound is revamped by new Alamo Village owner David Jones, he will use more permanent building materials.

Yes, it would be a good long term investment to use more permanent building materials. If the new owner wants a lot of visitors he has to invest some money in the Alamo Village! Who wants to visit a place that´s slowly falling apart due to lack of maintenance? Of course, Alamo buffs would come anyway, but Alamo Village can´t live off Alamo buffs (and some school classes) alone...
