I just found out that the city of San Benito (near Brownsville) holds an annual Alamo battle reenactment every March. This year, it will be held on Saturday, March 14 on the South Texas Youth Stock Show grounds, followed by a festival. Sounds like fun. If anyone is able to go, please take some photos! 12:00 pm 6:00pm. San Benito, Texas FM 510 @ Cesar Chavez Parkway. Off Freddy Fender Water Tower.

Ned, do they still have a piper that plays at dawn, or at another time? It used to be Bill Jones from New Braunfels.

Cast of the musical, "REMEMBER", evening of February 29, at the Tobin Center in San Antonio. (Photo: Roy Richards) Very minimalist production, it had no set at all, but rather projections on a big screen behind the chorale and orchestra to set the scene. At times, the characters, all wearing tuxedos, were hard to tell one from the other and you had to sort of guess. During the second half, they each had a prop to indicate who they were. Crockett with coon cap and rifle, Bowie with a knife, Travis, a sword. Santa Anna with cocked hat and red sash, etc.. To me, it came across as more of a musical production rather than a musical play and you could've just closed your eyes and listened. Attachments:
