Not really a holiday but a day worth mentioning. Anything bad happen to anyone today? So far I'm okay. Lets not forget why this day was named this. After seizing way too much power from the church, the Pope order the destruction of the Knights Templar. So on Friday the 13th in 1279 (I think), the Templars were hunted down, put on trial, tortured, and burned at the stake. Thus making 13 an unlucky number.

Well, so far I´ve survived the day but there´s still two hours untill midnight... ;D Thanks for the info about Friday the 13th. I did´nt know that. So that´s the origin of 13 being un unlucky number. That´s nice to know...

So Denmark is a seven hour time difference from the east United States?

I believe Denmark is 6 hours ahead of New York and 9 hours ahead of L.A. (and 1 hour ahead of England) - then maybe we shall add summertime - 1 hour. The European countries sets the clock one hour ahead of the actual time from about April till October (saving daylight). Right now it´s a quarter past midnight here, but in reality it´s omly a quarter past 11pm...
